Becca White May 2019

you swayed in the breeze just like the magnolia limbs happy father's day we walked through the rows what's that I asked you it's a green bell pepper you said. flicked away the June bugs and pulled one off the vine I bit into it crisp and cracking some juice got on your mustache as we chewed. overindulgence the both of us my first bell pepper and your beer not your first and too many to count we both threw up that night and I still can't smell peppers without tasting bile
